DIMENSIONS OF DISPLAYS:
Some of you have asked...so here is the information:
The background of each of the displays are roughly:
WIDTH: 58.5"
HEIGHT: 73.5"
I only had a yard stick to measure with so if you are cutting fabric or whatnot you might want to make it slightly larger (an inch or so that you can trim off later if needed).
This is only the size of the BACK of the display. It doesn't account for how deep the display goes. Some of the displays are deeper than others. There are 12 displays in total. Four displays are 33" deep, the other eight are all 19" deep. So if you want your fabric to wrap around the sides of the displays add that amount on to each side.
How are we dividing the displays up between people? Also can i come in on the thursday date i believe you said 3?
ReplyDeleteSome people will be able to get their own display, others will have to share. There are 12 displays total so it will depend on how many people are still enrolled in the class after Friday.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone should plan how they want to display their work and we can then divide the displays later as needed. For people who have smaller work, they will probably most likely have to share a display case. If your work is larger, you will probably get your own display. I can also see about getting other displays open that we use if we really need more space.
And Thursday at 3pm is great. We have department time from about 1:30-3pm, so you probably can come in any time around 2:30-3pm to start working. I should be in one of the art rooms (or music rooms if we have a department meeting).
