Proportions...
I just started my figure drawing and the angle and such is messing with my mind.... The top leg looks a little small to me, especially in the calf area, what do you guys think? I want to fix it before I get much further!
From the photo it looks very close. Use something (like your pencil) to measure the length of the top part of the leg (toe to knee) and again top part of leg (knee to thigh). Are those the same length in pic? If so, make sure they are the same length in your drawing (or whatever it may be).
I think the top leg could be slightly elongated from knee to ankle, but not much at all. One part that is throwing me off a bit is her rib/stomach area. I think the line of that seems a little off. But again, very minimally...
But I love the contrast you are getting in the arm so far! I'm excited to see it finished!!
Yeah, I've been trying to use the pencil measuring method to keep it proportional, thanks! Yeah, now that you mention it I think the stomach line looks too steep, I'll definitely fix that.
