self portrait in progress

so this is what I have been working on for a self portrait, a mixture of photos that have to do with me or symbolize certain things in my life and where it's at right now with me coming through in the background. Still need to piece pictures together but this is it so far...should the photos take up the whole photo or should there be just enough photos overlapping my face to be able to tell it is me? Let me know

  1. p.s. now looking at it longer I am going to move the olive photo a bit so it doesnt look like my eye is exploding under it, haha oops

  2. You could do either...fill up the entire page with photos or leave some blank. Right now the right side feels much heavier as it's totally full w/ photos. So the right/left sides aren't balanced. I do think the Olives need to be moved.

Think about how the collage of images also interacts with one another. Does one lead the viewers eye to important parts of you/your profile? Can you arrange them so there is an emphasis on you/your profile to make it stand out a bit more? You may need to do some dodging/burning or something to make your profile more important in some areas too...

  3. I had a hard time finding you in the picture. So, I agree with Ms. Manning, I think you should dodge and burn to make yourself stand out more!
