Hey guys,
So here is what I have for the figurative composition project. I originally planned on having the photo being in color but I found the black and white to be more dramatic. I'm having trouble deciding whether or not the contrast is either too severe or not enough and whether or not the feet (especially around the toes) blend in enough with the black background. Any other suggestions are welcomed!

Leading Lines
Hey guys, so I took some pictures downtown and I took a couple that could be used as leading lines. I still have to edit them but I just wanted some feedback on which one to use. I think it's kind of obvious but I just wanted to make sure.

For a Friend.
I'm drawing this picture for a friend and I know I need to push the contrast some more but I was wondering if you guys could give me some feed back on it so far! Thanks a ton.
Art History.
So I was thinking of ideas and putting pictures in my sketch book. I'm thinking for Art History I could do something really, really, historic like similar to cave paintings. (The photos on the right in my sketch book) What do you guys think??

Art History: DeStijl
It's kind of faint, but I started to sketch my Art History project. I chose to focus of the DeStijl movement - I wanted to inclcude the different styles of it so in the corners I used the 2D style and built up to 3D in the middle. I planned on doing it in watercolor, but I accidentally used the wrong paper.... do you think I should resketch it on watercolor paper or what medium should I use? Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Camera Help
I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on what kind of camera to buy. I currently have to use the really crappy camera on my phone.. It doesn't have to be that great because I'll be using it primarily for taking pictures of my drawings/paintings and if I need a reference photo. My maximum price is $300, help would be much appreciated :)
Still Life
Hey guys, I couldn't figure out how to rotate it but this is my finished still life drawing. The picture I took of it kinda sucks but hopefully you get the idea. I'm planning on adding a little more shadows in a couple places but otherwise I'm done. I'm really happy with how it turned out and I would love any feedback or comments or anything! Tell me what you guys think.

Art History Project
Hey guys,
So I was working on the figurative project and had a simple shadowed picture of my back and then decided to build around it and somehow my art history (I chose surrealism) project formed itself! I tried to capture the weight of the world on "Mother Nature's" shoulders so to speak and this is what came out of it. I don't know if some people might find the photo to be too busy so I just wanted to know what you guys thought about it.

Here's Allie!!!
So I know this is a lot of images but I need your guys input on which ones I should use because I like all of these.
In the brick photos I was trying to capture her body in such a way that she looks in some way depressed and or moved. Because of the vibrant colors in the background, the red, I thought this would create a contrasting appeal to the viewer. The reason I put allie in dance clothes was because I felt they have a lot of depth to them... plus with the way they move would be perfect for the human figure.
Annyways when It started to rain out I had the perfect idea to do the complete opposite of what I was doing, to have allie happen in a gloomy environment. So which ones do you guys like and think I should further commit too?

Art History (work in progress)
Hey guys, so I've been working on the art history project and wanted to get some feedback on what I have so far. I'm doing art nouveau.
I want it to look like an old art nouveau style poster. The hair in the picture now is a sketch of how I plan on doing it (it'll go in front of the dark green border) and I'm going to add words in the thicker part of the circle up top (probably something french and fancy sounding). Also going to add more detail/shading to the coloring once I finish it.
What do you guys think?
here's the original photo that I used:

Drawing of a BlueJay
Some figurative
So this is one of my figurative photos i was working on focusing just on part of the face. I tried to show contrasting emotions as far as the sad-looking face despite the happy sunny day seen in the sunglasses. I am not sure what to do with the top left corner yet... Input appreciated
Work In Progress
Recently I started my Art History piece, I can't remember the artist that I am going for, so if anyone does can you let me know? I'm planning on having each section of the face depict a different emotion, which then is put together to make a collage of the face.
(If it doesn't work out as the art history piece I might use it for the possible concentration piece.)
