"Zip your lips"

  1. this is a cool idea, i would maybe make the zipper more of a focal because it is small. maybe play with the composition and crop the picture in, or maybe blur out the background a little to focus in more on the figure. looks good!

  2. you should focus in more on her face and the zipper like olivia said to get a better look at the main idea of the peice. otherwise i really like how the eye colors are different in each eye and the way the light hits her face. - shae

  3. The light in the face is a little distracting.

    1. I agree. It kind of confuses me to look at her face and see her eyes as two different colors - her left eyes looks really dark and wide in comparison to the eye reflecting the sunlight.
As well, I agree with everyone else about cropping in to focus on the mouth.

I like her facial expression though :)

  4. I think the background is a little distracting. There's a lot going on with all the leaves and fence links. I think that blurring it like Olivia said would help a lot and bring the focus more to the mouth. It's going well, though.

  5. I really like the colors and the blue in the background but i agree with Claire, the background is kind of distracting. I think a more plain background would help bring out the focal point because it's also a little hard to tell there's a zipper on her mouth. centering her might help too! But it looks really cool!

  6. I agree with everyone pretty much - the background is pretty distracting and it's hard to see the zipper. I think you should have a simpler background and do some cropping. Maybe even just crop in on the face. Also the light on her face makes the eyes look bigger than one another which is also kind of distracting.

  7. Ok everyone already commented this saying the things I would say....either way.....I think the zipper is too small girl but other than that I like it, and feel like you should try different variety of random things!!

  8. I would push the blur in the background more to try and see if that helps with making it less distracting. Or maybe play around with saturation of the background to soften the colors and pull them closer to a grey scale or not completely black and white? That might help draw more attention to the zipper.
