I like the roughness of the Easter Bunny's fur -- it feels gorey to me, like blood. I also already mentioned to you in person, but I really like your handwriting. I would consider emphasizing certain words in the background and making them bigger, because I don't think you can expect viewers to read everything on your piece, and they might get bored by it.
I'm not sure what this concentration is (holiday creatures?) but I think that the bunny looks really awesome. The colors work well and I just really like his creepy expression. I agree with Cam that bolding certain words in the cupid piece would help a lot. There's so many words that it's kind of overwhelming, but making some stand out would give the option to skim over just a few things. Great job!
I really like the concept of the concentration! For the easter picture, I think the bunny itself has great texture and form. If you want to leave the background green I think that would work fine, except the area over the bunny's right shoulder (viewers left) seems to have curved brush strokes with follow the contour of the shoulder while every other area is nice and lateral. I think it might help to go over the area in lateral strokes (I'm certain it'd be a quick fix too). You already know how much I like the Cupid piece from Friday but I don't think I mentioned that the horns will be a nice touch as well. Can't wait to see how each turns out!
Keep working on them and bring them back Monday. I really like your use of texture though in your strokes and layering of colors. Be sure to keep that constant in your pieces in some way since that is very much YOU and your style!

ReplyDeleteLol the bunny creeps me out. If the bunny actually existed that's exactly what it would look like, good color choice. Can't wait to see the outcome
