New Concentration again...this will be a sequential series of 'Nancy'. (Showing the life of this person, Nancy, from birth to death.) Concentration #1-Birth
Claire, this looks awesome! and i really like your new concentration i think you will be able to do a very good job with it. The clothes on the baby look really good, i think the stuffed animal sort of looks like it is floating, may want to maybe do something with the shadows. but good job!
Baby and room look perfect. I still think you need to push the contrast on the flowers and table, because the baby looks so 3-d, but the flowers seem flatter somehow.
I agree with the previous comments. I feel like the bunny's bright pink kind of distracts my eye and makes the baby look a little lifeless/dull. The flowers and toy are so bright and colorful, then the baby's just kind of dark.
I definitely agree that the flowers could use more contrst, and also a shadow on the table I think. Overall though, I love the detail and the adorable baby!
Light and color bounce off everything. So maybe you should add a subtle pink glow on the baby (coming from the pink bunny)? That might help tie some of the pink into the baby and make it less distracting? Thoughts??
But I do feel the flowers can be pushed more...more fine detail, push contrast. They just don't feel as worked as the rest of the piece.

ReplyDeleteI would also add more highlights/shadows to the flowers. I feel like you did a good job improving the folds in the fabric of the baby's pants!
ReplyDeleteI have done absolutely nothing to the pants since the last time you told me that you didn't like them, but thank you :)
DeleteI was afraid you'd say that.
DeleteIt must just be the photograph.
Or my own insomnia.
