Here is the video I was showing you with the movement (still photographs used to make it look like it liquifies. Known as 'silt scan photography' by two French Film makers). Took this from www.thisiscollosal.com

Collage
^^^^^^^^Background/Border/Base-Layer. This spells "INTJ" which is
the psychological personality type of the figures.
^^^Various parts of INTJs that will be pasted on top of the black background. Will likely use less dark photograph cut outs. Also I will likely limit this to fictional characters only.

Time to start thinking about CONCENTRATION IDEAS!!!
Things to remember about your concentration:
-You have to pick something you LOVE because you will be spending an entire year on it (and 12 or more pieces!)
-Pick a theme that is narrow enough to give you 12 different pieces, but not too broad so the relationship between these 12 pieces is hard to decipher...
-Don't be afraid to change your concentration as you go. We can tweak, change, or alter the central idea behind the concentration. But if you do this you may need to go back and tweak or change some of your past works to better fit into your 'new' idea!
Some example concentration ideas are below to help you begin brainstorming:

DIMENSIONS OF DISPLAYS:
Some of you have asked...so here is the information:
The background of each of the displays are roughly:
WIDTH: 58.5"
HEIGHT: 73.5"
I only had a yard stick to measure with so if you are cutting fabric or whatnot you might want to make it slightly larger (an inch or so that you can trim off later if needed).
This is only the size of the BACK of the display. It doesn't account for how deep the display goes. Some of the displays are deeper than others. There are 12 displays in total. Four displays are 33" deep, the other eight are all 19" deep. So if you want your fabric to wrap around the sides of the displays add that amount on to each side.

Maiko Art History Piece
This is my art history piece, I took the photo from my camera (It even put the little face recognition boxes around the characters faces!) which is why it might appear a bit slanted (example: in the top right-hand corner you can see my desk) I'll try a scanned version if I can later. This is compositionally based off of Jan van Eyck's Portrait of Arnolfini and his Wife. Many elements of said painting are recurrent such as the longer robe-esque outfits, the pet, the oranges, the signature, the chandelier, and the feminine hands and on both characters. I don't own Maiko/Zuko/Mai or the Koala sheep etc, that is all from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I think that's a sufficient amount of info for now...
Self-portrait
Hello everyone, first time posting here, this is my self-portrait piece. I think all the textures came out well, especially on the vest, feel free to express your thoughts. Now I just have to pull a couple all-nighters and make these last few pieces real nice XD I wish everyone else luck as well!

Art Movement Problem?
So this is my Art Movement piece that I'm working on, in the style of Art Nouveau, but I'm kind of stuck on the background. I don't think I should add anything to it, beacuse I don't want the piece to get too busy, but other than that I don't know what I should do to it. Maybe ideas of what colors the background could be would help?

Ms. Manning- when can we come in to matte our art work? and do the mattes have to be specifically white or black?

The treacherous planet of Yagomoth owned by new Nysrexia
The planet of Yagomoth was formed 16 billion years ago by the nebula Dextrid. The planet is inhabited by various micro organisms that derive from the planets high levels zirconium. The micro organisms live in colonies and the have the ability to manifest themselves into a highly acidic slime to eat away at minerals in the rock beneath the ice.
I am a quarter finished with this oil on plywood piece. The big circle in the middle will look like a dying sun once I am finished.
